Skill Development Programme at SIHM Udaipur

‘Hunar Se Rozgar Tak’ Scheme

The institute offers two programs free of cost under the “Hunar Se Rozgar Tak” scheme, part of the Capacity Building for Service Providers initiative sponsored by the Government of India. The programs are:

  • Waiter Cum House Man: 6-week duration
  • Food Production: 8-week duration

Qualification

Minimum 8th grade pass

Age

Between 18 and 28 years

Attendance Criteria

90% attendance required to qualify for the stipend and receive certification at the end of the course.

Skill Testing and Certification Programme

  • Any individual working in the hospitality industry without formal education in hospitality.
  • Any person currently employed in Food & Beverage Service or Food Production within the hotel or related industries.

Course Duration

6 days (5 days of orientation and 1 day for testing and certification).

Wage Loss Compensation

Rs. 200/- per day will be provided to each candidate.

Mid Day Meal Programme

A comprehensive training program for cooks and helpers engaged in the Mid-Day Meal Scheme is being organized by the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. This initiative aims to provide specialized training to enhance the skills of the personnel involved, with a focus on improving hygiene standards, food safety practices and the nutritional value of meals. The ultimate goal is to ensure that school children receive nutritious, safe, and hygienically prepared meals under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, contributing to their overall well-being and development.
